If you're wondering where I am, well, I'm still here. I'm just computerless at the moment, save for the precious minutes I steal on Husband's computer. My piece of crap Dell (never, ever buy a Dell computer) has been slowly dying on me; first the sound went, and now I can't even open Internet Explorer.
Sigh. We're working on it. I'll have a post up in the next few days, so check back! I miss you!
My Dell sucks too, it's less than two years old, the mouse buttons collapsed on themselves for no reason, it's slower than the death, the battery has informed me it's at the end of it's life, the anti-virus is forever turning itself off, and the scree and hinges literally started to fall apart for no apparent reason. When I called them 6 months ago (see above the computer was barely over a year old) they said they could fix it for $300. Umm... it cost $400 for this heap, why would I pay you $300 to fix something I hate?
ReplyDeleteGood luck.
Wow, that exact same thing happened to me; the battery died after only a few months, making my laptop entirely dependant on electrical outlets and thus not at all a laptop!
ReplyDeleteHusband has lent me his computer in the interim, so I will post shortly.
Dell is so not worth the repair costs.
